It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Jean Heyer of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville "Bud" Lee Stout and Geneva Stout (Ford); her husband John Edwin Heyer; her son Scott Ridgeway; her nephew Eddie Colvin; and her nieces, Rebecca "Muffy" Colvin and Vonda Kerns.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Russell (Andy) of Sedalia, Lisa Dunn (Marvin) of Marshall and Brett Ridgeway (Robin) of Scranton, KS; her stepdaughters, Jennine Brandt-Weis (Tom) of Gainesville, FL and Justine Neinhiser (Steve) of Kansas City; and her sisters, Georgia Pedego of Sedalia, Katy Graff of Phoenix, AZ and Jo Colvin (Gene) of Sedalia. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
