It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Ann Closser of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Carver and Velma Craig (Paxton); her spouse Jesse E. Closser; and her half-sister Mary Holbert (Carver). She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hausam of Columbia and Barbara Closser (Julie) of Lee's Summit; her grandchildren, Michael Hausam of Columbia and Ryan Hausam (Ashley) of Columbia; her great grandchildren, Gavin Hausam of Jacksonville, FL and Makenna Elizabeth Hausam of Columbia; and her siblings, Ernest Craig, Sr. (Shirley) of Smithton, Gloria Kruse of Sedalia, Kay Milligan (Dennis) of Aviston, IL and Deanna Gleason (Bill) of Sedalia. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Heckart Funeral Home & Cremation Services (903 S Ohio Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at the Pilot Grove City Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
