He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Evans, and Delia Evans, Jr. (Merz); and his former wife Linda "Colleen" Wiggins of Camden. He is survived by: his fiancée Velda Weinreich; his children, Edward Earl "Eddie" Evans, III and Caitlyn May Evans of Columbia; and his siblings, Robert Evans of Excelsior Springs, Linda Hursman (James Hopkins) of Sedalia, Betty Hatfield (Martin) of Odessa, Lena Rush of Richmond, Hazel Chapman of Florida, Patricia Doron of Marshall and Barbara McGinnis (Mike) of Kansas City. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and a host of other relatives.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
