We announce the death of Gary Neal Jones of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 87. Gary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Mackney and Edna Marie Jones (Hensley); his son David Louis Jones; his grandchildren, Randy Jones and Andrea Elizabeth Jones; and his brother Melvin Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Jean Westphalen; his children, Andrew Jones of Texarkana, TX, Glenn Jones (Ann) of Texarkana, TX, Sue Thornsberry (Ryan) of Cape Girardeau and Lori Jones of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Christopher, Zachary, Amber, David Louis, Jr., Aaron, Sarah, Rachel, Chelsea and Skye; and his siblings, Granville "Butch" Jones of Columbia, MO, Danny Luke Jones of Crocker, MO, Judith Marie McMurtrey of Crocker, MO and Christina Louise Lentz of Richland, MO.. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
