He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Morris Foster and Elsie "Nadine" Foster (Duree); his sister Lana Foster-Millin; and his wife Suzanne Foster (Lear). He is survived by: his children, Rhiannon Foster, Lear Foster (Elizabeth) and Barbara Nelson-Showalter; and his grandchildren, Dane Foster and Yale Foster.
