He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard James Young and Mildred Iverne England Young; and his siblings, Judy Webb, Joe Young and Jimmy Young.

He is survived by: his wife Annette Lane; his children, Kristina Newsom of Knob Noster, MO and Jerry Young II (Sarah) of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Ellie, Brody, Emmie, Brandt, Bryce and Jerry III; and his siblings, Jackie Allee (Irvin) of Sedalia and Jeff Young of Sedalia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
