He was predeceased by: his parents, Jess Jackson "Jack" Byrd and Mary JoAnn Byrd (Mace); his wife Brenda Sue Withers; his brothers, Tom "Beaver" Byrd and Robert "Bobby" Byrd; and his stepson Jason Birchler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brittany Amos (Robert), Merriam Woods and Joann Byrd; his grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, Mason of Miley, RJ, Aryana and Chase; his stepdaughter Angela Counts; and his siblings, Nancy Edmiston, Karen Petesch (Dennis), Joe Holtmeyer (Sheila) and Larry Provance (Marlana). He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
