He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley Knowles and Naomi Knowles (Price); and his sister Virginia Caruthers. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Knowles; his sons, Rick Knowles (Maria) of Kansas City and Mark Knowles (Nancy) of Nelson; and his grandchildren, Max, Kelly, Joseph and John.
