She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry and Ardie Mae McDonald; and her husband Melvin L. Emerson. She is survived by: her children, John Emerson (Vanessa) of Florissant, Missouri, Valencia Harris of St. Louis, Missouri and Kay Palmer (Steve) of Sedalia, Missouri; and her close friend Robert L. Perryman of Lake Charles, Louisiana.. She is also survived by grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
