With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lola E. Smith of Sedalia, Missouri, whose life came to an end on February 5, 2026 at the age of 95, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ewers and Carrie Ewers (Gander); her husband LeRoy Jason Smith; her brothers, Thomas, Roger and Jim Ewers; and her siblings-in-law, Robert J. France and Rita Ewers.

She is survived by: her children, James Smith (Elisha) of Monticello, Illinois, Esther Avery (John) of Chattanooga, Melinda Smith of Lincoln, Brenda Sowers (Dave) of Columbia and Amy Elvers (Dale) of Sedalia, Missouri; her sister Phyllis France of Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Frey (Darin), Marie Hallstrom (Tim), Jonathan Sowers (Rachel), Nathan Sowers (Annette), John Mark Avery, Cody Elvers (Kimberly), Samantha Bowlin (James) and Esther Joella Smith. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
