It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Ann Van Wert of Sedalia, Missouri, born in Boonville, Missouri, who passed away on June 14, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Gensler and Anna Gensler (Vieth); her husband Forrest "Skip" Richard Van Wert; and her granddaughters, Brittany Moreland and Alyssa Shelledy.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer Phillips of Sedalia and Kari Kruse (Charlie) of Sedalia; her granddaughters, Jordyn Phillips and Ashlee Qualls (Jody); and her siblings, James Gensler (Bonnie) of Lincoln, MO and Debbie Pena (Jesus) of Concord, CA.. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation Missouri & Kansas in care of the Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
