She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence S. Gills and Lenamae Laverne Gills (Boley); her former husband Paul Sprinkle; and her brother Lawrence "Boe" Gills. She is survived by: her spouse Russell Carl Phillips; her children, Katy McNelly of Olathe, KS, Sarah Stubblefield (David) of Sedalia and Jacob Rumsey (Ruth) of Harrisonville, MO; her grandchildren, Emalea, Lucas, Naomi, Leslie, Kaed and Coen; her siblings, Dan Gills of Sedalia, Joan Burkey of Sedalia, Julia Osbourn of Mora and Lora Berry (Darryl) of Sedalia; and her nephew Jon Burkey of Sedalia. She is also survived by mother who truly lived for her children, grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
