Melissa Kay Richie Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melissa Kay Richie of Sedalia, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 15, 2025 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Lee Curd III and Kathleen Clark-Scott; her siblings, Michelle Curd and Michael Dale Poindexter (Darlene); her grandparents, Esther, Leon Clark, Lucille and Wilson Lee Curd Sr.; and her uncle Albert Clark.

She is survived by: her fiancé Jonathan Gould; her sister Judy Curd (Tosca Sweatt) of Columbia, MO; her aunts, Shirley Alonzo and Barbara Smith; her cousins, Beverly Clark of Sedalia and Emmanuel Yancey of Columbia, MO; her sister Veronica Sims; and her close friend Crystal Sims (Boggs). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
