He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Balke and Minnie Heismeyer Balke; his siblings, Richard, Oletha and Lula; and his stepson Steve Wittman.
He is survived by: his former wife Ilene Arnold; his children, Daniel Merlin Balke of Sedalia, Jerry Balke (Melisa) of Cole Camp, Kathy Heineman (Steve) of Sedalia, Scott Balke (Agnes) of Florence, Brent Wittman of Sedalia, Julie Nauser (Mark) of Lee's Summit and Leann Wittman of Wichita, KS.; his grandchildren, Tara Hubbard (Jeff), Aaron Balke (Ashley), Mindy Fox (Levi), Andrew Heineman (Britni), Ayla Dillon, Daniel Balke and Nathaniel Balke; his great grandchildren, Zane, Jude, Jubilee, Aysa, Etta and Ellee; his grandchildren, Austin, Chelsea and Zoe; his great grandchild Gage; his wife Bobbie Wittman; and his sister Erma Busing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In honor of his love for his church and animals family suggests donations be given to Calvary Baptist Church or Sedalia Animal Shelter.
