With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Eugene Franklin of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Eugene and Ada Marie Franklin; and his brothers, Barry Franklin and Larry Joe Richardson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Sue Shaw; his daughter Kimberly Mertgen (Bill) of Warsaw; his stepdaughters, Rebecca Pitts (Jim) of Vine Grove, KY, Halena Smith of Sedalia, Kelly Miller (Myron) of Sedalia and Katie Sisemore (Kari) of Sedalia; his siblings, Carla Anderson (Mike) of Sedalia and Rick Franklin (Renea) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Corbin, Carsyn, Kayleigh, Ryanne, Shelby, Kalvin, Kasey and Anthony; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Lukis and Jase. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, or a charity of the donor's choice, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
