He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto T. Roberts and Dolly L. Roberts (Rulo); and his siblings, Denise L. Morgan and Thomas Roberts. He is survived by: his sons, Michael T. Roberts II of St. Louis and James N. Roberts of St. Louis; and his siblings, Dennis O. Roberts (Dollie) of Arnold, Angel Hughes (Wade) of Sedalia, Brian K. Roberts of Rhineland and David L. Roberts (Lisa) of House Springs, Missouri. He is also survived by one granddaughter; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins.
