He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John West and Wanda West (Smith); his wife Donna Legg; his siblings, William "Billy" West of Grain Valley, MO, Scott West of Sedalia, MO, Linda Coats (Mike) of Sedalia and Teresa West-Dehling of Marshall, MO; and his stepsons, Stan Kimbrell (Daniel) of Illinois, Mark Kimbrell (Kathryn) of Sedalia, Mike Kimbrell (Cathy) of Sedalia, Steve Kimbrell of Sedalia and Stewart Kimbrell of Sedalia. He was also cherished by five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Down Syndrome Guild of Great Kansas City in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
