He was predeceased by: his parents, Orval Cleo and Dollie C. Young (Cochran); his spouse Athlene Carver; his children, Scott L. Young, Robin and Michelle; and his siblings, Billy Young and Ruby Adams.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Young, Robbie Young and Debbie Browning; his sister Mary Fleming; his daughter-in-law Jennifer Glover; his grandchildren, Mashele Escalante, Anjelina Denker, Sierra Young, Kayle Young, Brandon Young, Michael Hodges Young, Bree Young and Amber Young; his great grandchildren, Morgan Overbey, Tyler Tucker, Rylen Denker, Olivea Denker and Moxie Keith; his great great grandchild Grayson Young; and his sibling's children, Kathy, Vickey, Rhonda and Michael.
