Steven W. Gemes Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steven W. Gemes of Sedalia, Missouri, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Steven farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Steven is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Wayne Gemes and Yvonne Easter Gemes (Reaves); and his grandson Luc Donald Gemes. He is survived by: his wife Jill A. Reimer; his son Scott Gemes (Julie) of Warsaw; his grandson Logan Gemes; and his sister Donna Nelson of Rogersville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (19856 State Hwy Y, Sedalia, MO 65301).
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Canon Cancer Center at Bothwell Regional Health Center or to ACG Hospice.
