He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Charles Mayfield and Dorothy Mae Walters Mayfield; his son John Paul Shaw; his siblings, Gerald Wayne Mayfield and Barbara Jean Burch (Bob); and his siblings-in-law, Dianne Raaen (Jerry) and Mike Heusler.
He is survived by: his spouse Sandy Heusler; his son Mark Shaw (Sara) of Winona, Minnesota; his brother Daniel Mayfield (Rose) of Columbia, Missouri; his brother-in-law Charles Heusler (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and his pet Walker.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, St. Patrick Chapel (300 S Moniteau Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at the Crown Hill Cemetery (701 N Engineer Ave, Sedalia, MO 65301).
Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart High School or the Humane Society in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
