He was predeceased by: his mother Gladys Dey (Rhodes); his wife Alma Lilly Eckhoff; and his son Ross Dey. He is survived by: his father William "Boots" Dey; his son Warren Dey of Sedalia; his grandchildren, Jordan (Kourtney), Taylor, Logan and Bailey Dey; his great grandchild Kaia; and his daughter-in-law Amy Dey.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Park Stadium Fund or Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
