He is survived by : his children, Brad Alan Bates of Carthage Missouri, Kent Evan Bates (Marsha) of Seneca Missouri and Kay Ann Etheridge (Scott Etheridge) of Tulsa Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Evan Alan Bates and Ashley Ann Miller of Miami Oklahoma; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Hayes and Holden Miller of Miami Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Cooper and Briley Bates.
