He is survived by: his children, Melody Thorne (Casey) and Matthew Wright (Nicole); his grandchildren, Steffanie Thorne (Dakota Ivy), Caleb Wright (Mallori Houchin) and Kaelee Wright; and his brother Leonard Johnson.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Generations Free Will Baptist Church (2301 Connecticut Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
