He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Herring and Margie Herring (Whitehill); his daughter Rebekah Herring; his siblings, David, William "Bill" Herring and Linda Bridges; and his great grandchild Nova Welch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Breckenridge (Lance) of Rich Hill and Heather Welch (Josh) of Seneca, Missouri; his sisters, Judy Mersman, Jane Ball, Susan McKee and Donna Smith; his grandchildren, Trinton Welch (Neveah), Dakota Bacon, Addison Welch, Landon Bacon, Levi Bacon and Gabby Welch; his great grandchildren, Grace Welch and Abram Welch; his grandchildren, Ashton Cooper, Jase Cooper, Jesse Gallahue, Brayden Johnson and Kya Adkins; and also Robert.
