He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Merriman and Cinderella Merriman (York); his children, Johnny Lee Merriman and Teddie Eugene Merriman; and his siblings, A. J. Merriman, Rod Merriman, Claude Merriman, John R. Merriman and Phyllis Merriman Reed.
He is survived by: his sons, Dakota Merriman of Miami and Clayton Rust of Miami; and his sister Emma Lou Atchison (Merriman) of Miami, OK. He is also survived by nieces, nephews extend family and friends.
