He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Burk and Maggie Jones (McCue); his wife Frances Margaret "Marge" Magruder; his sister Isabelle Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Magruder and Tresia Magruder (Wood).
He is survived by: his nephew Steve Magruder of Springfield, MO; his niece Lynne Hart (Dennis) of Tennessee; his great-nephews, Mason Magruder and Gregory Hart; his great-niece Rachel Bledsoe; and his close friends, Kerry and Kathy Lackey.
Memorials may be made to the Shelby County Senior Center or the Shelby County Old Threshers.
