He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip "Pete" and Rose Mary Smith (McCrory); his spouse Illine May Fifer; his brother Jim Smith; and his sister-in-law Linda Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelly Smith of Shelbina, MO; his grandson Dale Johnson of Shelbina, MO; and his siblings, Bill Smith of Shelbina, MO, Jack Smith (Martha) of Shelbina, MO, John Smith of Shelbina, MO, Steve Smith (Tracy) of Shelbina, MO and Susan Towne (Perry) of Harvard, IL..
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home (401 S Center St, Shelbina, MO 63468). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (1479 County Rd 1675, Jacksonville, MO 65260).
