We announce the death of Susan Diane Gough of Shelbina, Missouri, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Bryant and Lela Marjorie Bryant (Freels); her former husband Gene Maddex; her brother Danny Bryant; and her siblings-in-law, Lovetta Maddex, David, Jerry Maddex and Tommy Anderson.
She is survived by: her husband Jim; her children, Amy Brooke Crawford (Jeff) of LaPlata, MO, Timothy Thomas Maddex (Emily) of Clarence, MO and Ashley Beth Gittemeier (Matt) of Jacksonville, MO; her stepsons, Patrick Gough (Lori) of Shelbina, MO and Dudley Gough (Jessica) of Shelbina, MO; her grandchildren, Brooke, Logan, Kaelyn, Kinley, Porter, Korey (Conner), Kodie, Kenzie and Keaton; her stepgrandchildren, Avery and Easton; her sisters, Charlotte Parsons (Bill), Barb Hatcher (Greg) and Mary Lou Jurado (Jim); and her siblings-in-law, Ernie Maddex (Bev), Bob Maddex (Cindy), Don Maddex (Marva), Ed Gough (Diane), Mark Gough (Audrey), Ann Bryant, Joyce Shepherd and Kaye Elsen (Joe). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Chapel (401 S Center St, Shelbina, MO 63468). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Christian Church- Way Program or Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
