He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip "Pete" Smith and Rose Mary Smith (McCrorey); his siblings, Phil Smith, Jim Smith and Patricia Ann; and his sisters-in-law, May Smith and Linda Smith.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jack Smith (Martha) of Shelbina, Missouri, John Smith of Shelbina, Missouri, Steve Smith (Tracy) of Shelbina, Missouri and Susan Towne (Perry) of Harvard, Illinois; and his aunt Libby Schwada. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
