Eileen Leininger Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eileen Leininger of Sheldon, Missouri, who passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Mertz and Adeline Mertz (Marshall); her brother George; her sister-in-law Jill; and her close friend Phyllis Sprenkle.
She is survived by: her husband Gene Leininger; her daughters, Erin Garwood (Andy) and Ashley McKinney (Joel); her grandchildren, Saylor, Mally, Jaden, Andersen and Adalyn; and her brother Jim Mertz (Veronica). She is also survived by several loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Sheldon Christian Church or Sheldon Schools, c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO.
