He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard W. Woolis and Letha Woolis (Williams); his wife Velma Woolis (Newport); and his daughters, Cynthia Caudell and Elizabeth "Beth" Culver.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Richard Nimmo of Derby, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Shawn Nimmo, Chad Nimmo, Jason Welch, Rachel Cotten and David Cotton. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
