She was predeceased by : her parents, Yeura Elrod and Sally Forrester Elrod; her sister Karen Kolwyck; and her daughter Shirley Jean Tannahill (John Tharp). She is survived by : her brother Charles Elrod (Beverly) of Oklahoma; her son James Elrod (Carla) of Blodgett, MO; her grandchildren, Christy Parham (Stan), Erica Fetters (Chad), Roy Holland (Bobbie) and Troy Holland; her great grandchildren, Kobe Hutcheson, Kylie Hutcheson, Madison Fetters, Garrett Fetters, John Asher Kennard and Luke Holland; and her great great grandchild Rylan Couch.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ponder Funeral Home (1120 N Main St, Sikeston, MO 63801). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
