He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Davis Kelso and Mary Summers Kelso; his spouse Shirley Parker Kelso; his son Johnny Davis Kelso; his siblings, Meb Kelso, Reb Kelso, Harley Kelso, Vema Kelso-Young, Vela Kelso-Payne, Verb Kelso-Curtis, Peb Kelso-Cauthorne, Lave Kelso-Troope, Miriam Summers-Moore and Josephine Kelso; and his granddaughter Mary Jo Waldron-Blankenship.

He is survived by : his daughters, Judy Myers (Doug) of Sikeston and Karen Kelso-Waldron (Gary) of Fulton, Mississippi. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
