He was predeceased by: his father Walter Thurston Holmes; his wife Margot Engle Eby; and his brother Robert Lee Holmes. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Judy Eby of Columbia, MO, Debbie Carlisle (Keenan) of Risco, Karen Eby of Chicago, IL and Larry Eby (Anita) of Sikeston; his stepgrandchildren, Shauna Fowler, Dana Eby, Kyle Carlisle, Zach Cowan, Chelsea Boone, John Daniel Turner, Jake Cowan, Lauren Marie Eby and Maggie Eby; his sister Sharon Holmes Easter of Hartsburg, MO; his nephew Richard Brandon Easter; his great-niece Allison Easter; and his great-nephew Logan Easter. He is also survived by thirteen step great grandchildren.
