She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwain Gipe and Jessie McDonald Gipe; her former husband Leroy Carnes; her husband James L. Thomas; her daughter-in-law Lisa Carnes; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Gipe and Garl Wetters.
She is survived by: her children, Kelvin L. Carnes, Jamie L. Nelson (Joshua) and Joseph L. Thomas (Lisa); her grandchildren, Zachary, Cambree, Lilly, Delana, Delaney and Cooper; and her siblings, Ronald Gipe, Donnie Gipe, Connie Wetters and Candy Gipe. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
