He was predeceased by: his father Luther B. Smith (Rosie Lee Ward Smith); his wife Sharron Ann Sweet; his son Wayne; his daughter-in-law Doris Smith of Miner; his daughter Lisa; his son-in-law John Spalding of Benton; his grandchildren, Bart Smith (Jody), Emily Woolf (C. J.) and Katie Cruz (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Parker Cruz, Sofia Cruz, Nolan Woolf, Clark Woolf, Jerry Smith and Zechariah Smith; his siblings, Harold Smith of Henderson, TN, Travis Smith (Delores) of Sikeston, Truman Smith (Jeanette) of Irondale, MO and Carolyn Smith Patterson of Sikeston; his great grandchild Freya Elizabeth Woolf; and his siblings, Willie Smith, Leon Smith, Ernest Smith, Louise Seyer, Flossie Shaw and Grace Pruitt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McMikle Funeral Home (403 N Kingshighway, Sikeston, MO 63801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to the Sikeston Elks Lodge #2319, 349 Dona Street, Sikeston, MO 63801.
