He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacy Burl Taber and Eva Marie Lancaster Taber of Matthews, MO; his wife Marilyn L. Dreyer; and his siblings, Ruth Burch, Shirley Coppage, Judy Northcutt, Flossie Bell Taber, Glen, Lindell, Melvin and Dwight Gene Taber.
He is survived by: his children, Cindi Hileman (Tim) of Sikeston and Chadd Taber of Sikeston; his daughter-in-law Crystal Harris of Matthews, MO; his grandchildren, Josh Hileman of East Prairie, Jordan Hileman of Sikeston, Lorelei Taber of Sikeston, Katelin McCutchen of Blodgett and Sydnea Taber of Vanduser; and his sisters, Deanna Piel of Springfield, MO and Marlene Hartlein of Matthews, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McMikle Funeral Home (403 N Kingshighway, Sikeston, MO 63801). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
