Rebecca Jones Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rebecca Jones of Sikeston, Missouri, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Rebecca may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pete Sturm and Mary Crigger (Minner); her granddaughter Alana Shy; and her brother Pete Sturm Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Danny Shy III (Emily) of Bloomfield and Brandon McKelvey of Washington; and her siblings, Travis Sturm of Cape Girardeau, Lorie Copen (Leonard) of Scott City, Missouri and Heidi Riegert (Justin) of Scott City, Missouri. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; also, by several nieces and nephew.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel - Scott City (115 W Hickory St, Scott City, MO 63780).
