He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Harrison Tanner and Ethyl Dunn Tanner of Sikeston, Missouri.. He is survived by: his wife Retha Tanner; his sons, Richard R. Tanner (Susan) of Sherwood and Robert S. Tanner (Polly) of Little Rock; and his stepdaughter Michelle R. King of Little Rock, Arkansas. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
