She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Sweet and Bertha May Heckert Sweet; her great grandchild Freya Elizabeth Woolf; and her brother James Edward "Jim" Sweet, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Luther Smith, Jr.; her son Wayne; her daughter-in-law Doris Smith of Miner; her daughter Lisa; her son-in-law John Spalding of Benton; her grandchildren, Bart Smith (Jody), Emily Woolf (C. J.) and Katie Cruz (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Parker Cruz, Sofia Cruz, Nolan Woolf, Clark Woolf, Jerry Smith and Zechariah Smith; David Craig.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Scholarship Fund at the Sikeston Elks Lodge, P.O. Box 931, Sikeston, MO 63801.
