We are sad to announce that on June 13, 2025, at the age of 69, David Gene Hamblen Sr. of Slater, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David Gene departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David Gene may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David Gene leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugh Daniel and Marie Fay Hamblen (Lisby); his wife Brenda Hamblen; his son Daniel Lee Hamblen; his brothers, Danny Fletcher (Hamblen) and Frank Leon Hamblen; his son David Gene Hamblen, Jr.; and his sister Wanda Fay Malan. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The Family suggests contributions to the Diabetes Association.
