With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hazel Lee Thompson of Slater, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gibson Burton and Dora Mae Willis Burton; and her husband Clifford J. Thompson Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Mark Thompson of Slater and Deborah Haygood of Slater; her grandsons, Vance Haygood of Lexington, Anthony Navarrete of Washington, D. C. and Juan Benitez (Vanessa Benitez) of Kansas City; and her sisters, Helen Moody of Moberly and Betty L. Vogl of Hardeman. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Memorials are suggested to Concord Christian Church or Concord Cemetery in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
