We announce the death of Jamesetta Butner of Slater, Missouri, who passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 79. Jamesetta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Butner and Ida Belle Smith Butner; her siblings, Keith Butner and Loretta Jones; and her niece Neosha Jones.

She is survived by: her siblings, Charles Butner of Kansas City, Bonita Butner of Slater, Ces Butner of Oakland, Veda Butner of Kansas City, Jolitta Butner of Kansas City, Nina Butner of Kansas City, Daniella Dwyer of Boynton Beach, Rowena Butner of Kansas City and Jay Butner of Kansas City. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
