He was predeceased by : his parents, Isaac C. "Pete" Johnson and Mildred Crigler Johnson; his wife Marilyn Jean Miller; his son Larry C. Johnson; and his siblings, George Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Corean Haynes and Irene "Dolly" Thomas.

He is survived by : his son Timothy Johnson of Slater. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
