He was predeceased by: his mother Virginia L. Monsees (Grimes); and his aunts and uncles, Tom Grimes, Carolyn and Nolen Gieschen. He is survived by: his father Philip D. Monsees; his stepmother Carol; his children, Brooke Rush (David) of Blue Springs, Aleksis Grace of New Jersey and Philip A. L. Monsees of Florida; his grandsons, Declan Rush and Everett Rush; his siblings, Kim Weymuth (Ken) of Sedalia, Kris Monsees (Renee) of Versailles and Kari Monsees (Laura) of Raymore, Missouri; his uncle Dale Monsees (Linda); and his aunt Mertie Grimes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rea Funeral Chapel (3510 W 16th St, Sedalia, MO 65301). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Embassy, Inc. or the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
