The passing of George Minthorn of Smithville, Missouri, born in Columbia Falls, Montana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eber Minthorn and Leona Minthorn (Knapp); his foster son Herb Crown; and his siblings, Raymond, Alice Penniston, Myrna Allers, John and Ivan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Sutton; his daughter Pamela Minthorn; his grandson Alex Minthorn; and his brother Melvin (Gail) of Wilton, CT. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and his many friends and neighbors.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Highlands Community of Christ Church (7615 N Platte Purchase Dr, Kansas City, MO 64118). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
