Gerrie Collier Obituary

We announce the death of Gerrie Collier of Smithville, Missouri, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Gerrie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Melvin and Myrtle Gladys Shrimplin (Todd); her husband Louis; her daughters, Janet Mudd, Sherry Whitfield and Marl Lynne Phillips; her sons-in-law, Tom Fuller, Jr. and Donnie Summers; her brothers, Marvin Shrimplin, Billie Joe Shrimplin and Floyd Shrimplin; and her siblings-in-law, David Paasch, Beverly Shrimplin, Bonnie Shrimplin, Julia Shrimplin and Betty Edwards (Donald).

She is survived by: her children, Judy Taylor (Tom), Tina Summers, Charles Collier and Lea Anne Leonard (Mike); her sons-in-law, Larry Mudd (Linda) and Dennis Whitfield (Debbie); and her sister Gladys Paasch. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mt. Olivet Christian Church or Ridgely Cemetery.
