He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Nelson and Lucille Nelson (Ruud); his wife Ruth Hill; his siblings, Ron and Judy (Martens); his children, Brian and Elizabeth (Suhr); his grandchildren, Caleb, JoHanna, Caroline and Johannes; and his great grandchild James (Jimmy). He was also cherished by relatives and friends.
