It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merlyn Sue Schreiner in Sparta, Missouri, who passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merlyn Sue Schreiner to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldo Burton Gideon and Ora Marie Gideon (McTeer); her son David Lee; her siblings, Dale Gideon, Leo "Bud" Gideon, Don Gideon, James Eugene Gideon, Dorothy Jackson, Eula Mae Burkhart and Shirley "Jeanne" Loomis; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Thomas Luder and Ann Michele Luder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Michele Winslow (Tom) and Camille Messenger (David); her grandchildren, Shawn Winslow (April), Kyleigh Luder (Kyle), Hailey Messenger, Nathan Messenger (Kimberly) and Dakota Messenger (Meriah); her great grandchildren, Chyann Winslow, Adeline Luder, Eleanor "Billie" Luder, Greyson Messenger and Riley Johns; her sister Faye Rantz; her siblings-in-law, Diana Cole, Sue Craddock, Norma Eastridge (Don), Greg Schreiner (Connie) and Murray Schreiner (Kathy); and her stepdaughter Margaret Reid (Ronnie). She is also survived by her husband, daughters, and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that a donation in Sue's honor be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
