We announce the death of Barbara Trott of Springfield, Missouri, who passed away on June 11, 2026, at the age of 94. Barbara will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her mother Lillian Lee Bess (Cropper); her husband David Trott; her parent Dunkin Bess; her son-in-law William "Bill" Bowen; her sister Rosa Lee Martin; her brother-in-law John Martin; and her grandson Justin Whisenand.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Lee (Ed) of Springfield, MO, Teresa Bowen of Springfield, MO, Shelley Bennett (Donald) of Bethesda, MD and Byron Trott (Tina) of Palm Beach, FL.; her brother Marty Bess (Claudia); and her grandchildren, Britt Bowen, Joshua Whisenand, Erin Goforth, Katelyn Lee Shadday, Alex Lee, David Trott, Abby Trott and Megan Weltmann. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
